The Middle School Chamber Orchestra is a performing ensemble that studies advanced orchestral music appropriate to the middle school ensemble. Students in grades 6–8 who play violin, viola, cello or bass are invited to audition.

IMS Theater Company & Theater Tech

The IMS Theater Company is an after-school group dedicated to exploring all facets of theater performance & management. Students are welcome to audition for a role on stage or serve as technicians, where they will learn a variety of techniques such as lighting design, stage design, and sound.

Jazz Ensemble

This performing ensemble studies American music that includes swing, blues, Latin, rock and other contemporary styles of music. Students will also be introduced to the basics of improvisation and creative individual expression through music. Students in grades 6–8 with all instruments—including guitar and strings—are invited to audition.

Select Chorus is an audition-based chorus for any student in 6th–8th grade. Auditions take place during the second week of school & rehearsals begin the next week. Students are introduced to advanced part singing and new languages from many world cultures.
